Little dogs do best when socialized regularly! It's not always easy to bring our little ones to dog parks and let them run around in the general mix. Chihuahuas in particular love their own kind, and love to meet other little dogs. Puppies learn so much from socializing and it's great for rescues too. Small breeds 15lbs and under are welcome! Please bring a lawn chair and make sure to clean up after your dog. We are in a secure fenced in yard, meetups are weather permitting. Address TBA in the …

Would your small dog (under 15 lbs) or puppy like to play with others and get their energy out early in the day? I have a fenced in yard where all are welcome or let's share fenced-in spaces. Maybe one to two mornings per week for 30-60 minutes. Let's limit it to small and friendly dogs to minimize problems. Come meet Ziggy (my rescued min-pin/chihuahua mix) and Marley (my rescued yorkie mix) and let your dogs have some fun!

There's just something special about little white (or not so white) fluffy (or not so fluffy) dogs. It's amazing to see more than one at a time. And, I swear they recognize and love being with each other. This Meetup Group is about getting them together for some silliness, in a safe environment where they can romp and play and know they are safe from their larger cousin dogs. (We have the best and nicest human members too - so nice getting to know everyone!)

I have a Maltese mix, we call him a Meekapoo, who loves to be in the company of other dogs. He really doesn't discriminate against larger dogs, he loves them too, but I can be more relaxed when he's around the little guys, so he doesn't get inadvertently trampled on (it's happened before!). I'm sure there are other local small dog owners who want to get together, take a walk on the North County Trailway, or a stroll through FDR park or just a spin around the hood with some company. This is purel …

Many of the dogs faced euthanasia at local pounds and most of the cats that we help are strays and abandoned cats that roam our streets. Hi! I moved to RI in July 2011 from NYC, the Lower East Side, with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, named Merlin Manhattan. We miss our New York doggie playgroups so we are creating our own right here in RI. And now as of April 2012, I have a new addition to my brood - King Arthur, who is Merlin Manhattan's brother (2 years apart). I have an indoor space to host play groups for dogs around 25-30 lbs and under. While our doggies play pattycake-pattycake, we can enjoy mimosas. Oh and this isn't j …
